Saunterings is a set of reflections based upon walks around the counties of
Cumbria, Lancashire and
North Yorkshire in North-West England (as defined in the
Preamble).
Below is a list of nature-oriented sites in this region
(not already mentioned under Lakes or
Dales).
They are generally Nature Reserves (NRs), sometimes National or Local NRs, or woods accessible to a walker or
Sites of Scientific Interest (SSSIs).
